You gave up a place at medical school to be a singer, so what do you parents make of your career?
Shhhh...they still don't know, they think I'm in my final year! No, but seriously you have to go for what makes you happy. It’s your life and only you're going to live it. Parents and loved ones will only want to protect you and that's natural, but ultimately you must be happy with your decision. Regret is a hard thing to deal with.
You’re a beat boxer- who would win in a beat-box off between you and Justin Timberlake?
A beatbox-off? I like that. Justin would kick my ass with his moves but I think I'd have him in the beatbox...
You’ve also been in a Bollywood film- what was that like?
It was a great experience, and truly unforgettable. Bollywood is an amazing industry...unfortunately I don't have the hairy chest or disco moves for it.
Have you had any embarrassing moments on stage?
Just a few months ago I was on a tour in the US and wondered why the crowd was laughing while I was singing. I looked down and spotted a bra around my ankle. Some bird had apparently chucked it onstage and I hadn't noticed until I put my foot in it - literally.
