Pussycat Dolls – Doll Domination

In a nutshell:
Not content with selling over 7 million copies of their debut album, the Pussycat Dolls are back and judging by the title of this album – they want to take over the world! They’ve already scored big with the brilliant first single When I Grow Up but is there anything else as good in the seventeen (seventeen!!) other new songs included here.

What’s it like?
We likey! The doll’s sound has got edgier since their debut album but it’s still most definitely pop – just with a cooler edge. The Timbaland-produced songs are amongst the strongest especially Magic, Whatchamacallit and Halo but we’re also loving the futuristic (and slightly bonkers) Bottle Pop featuring Snoop and the single-in-waiting Whatcha Think About That and the catchy-as-chicken-pox Love The Way You Love Me. This is very much Nicole’s album and she gets to showcase those big old pipes of hers on the big ballads Happily Never After, Hush Hush and I’m Done. In fact, the songs are so strong that this already sounds like a greatest hits. Pop heaven!

Killer: When I Grow Up, Whatchamacallit, Love The Way You Love Me, Bottle Pop, I Hate This Part, Elevator, Happily Never After

Filler: Takin’ Over The World
