In A Nutshell:
We were predicting big things for The Tings Tings at the start of the year (don’t believe us? Check HERE!). Just call us Mystic Meg because they’ve suddenly become the biggest ting (sorry!) in pop! Hot on the heels of the No.1 single, That’s Not My Name (surely the song of the summer?), comes their sparkling debut album.
What’s it like?
If you like the single then you’re gonna love this! Ten shiny pop gems and not a filler in sight? Now that’s what we call a pop album! In these days of style over substance it’s great to find a band that has both the image AND the tunes to back it up. Stripped back and simple but oh-so-catchy, there’s plenty more potential hits-in-waiting here. From the punk-pop of Fruit Machine to the retro dance sound of Shut Up And Let Me Go, this is the antithesis to the over-produced, too-thought-out manufactured pap that is cluttering up the chart at the moment. We heart!
Killer: That’s Not My Name, Fruit Machine, Shut Up And Let Me Go, Traffic Light, Great DJ
Filler: Nope – we loved it all!
