In a nutshell:
She might only be 16 but Miley Cyrus is nothing short of a phenomenon. She’s already scored two huge hit albums as her alter ego, Hannah Montana, the TV show is one of the biggest things on US telly and there’ll be no escaping Hannah Montana: The Movie when it hits the big screen next May. This is her first proper album that’s 100 percent ‘Miley’.
What’s it like?
If you’re a fan of Ashlee Simpson or Avril Lavigne we’ve got a sneaky suspicion that you’re gonna like this too. It’s obvious that Miley takes her music pretty seriously. Armed with a voice that’s way more mature than her 16 years would suggest, Miley is first and foremost a rocker. Tunes like 7 Things, Breakout and Full Circle are perfect for her rich, husky voice but she sounds just as comfortable on the slower songs like the beautiful Bottom of the Ocean. We’re seriously impressed that she co-wrote most of the album too. Is there no end to this girl’s talents?
