Gorgeous Bodies R Us
Skipping brekkie causes your blood sugar levels to drop, meaning you’re likely to start craving a snack and may end up munching unhealthy foods
Always dreamed of looking as cute as Cameron Diaz in a bikini? Or looking as sexy as Jessica Alba in your underwear? We sure have. Which is why we asked health and beauty experts to give us their top Dos and Don’ts on getting a gorgeous body. You’ll be pleased to find out it’s not about starving yourself or even about spending 15 hours a week in the gym…

1. Do drink lots of water

Here’s a little known fact for you – often when you feel hungry, you’re actually thirsty. For some reason something between our stomach and brains gets confused and tells us we want to eat, when actually all our bodies need is a slurp or two of water. Try to drink two litres a day; that way you'll know that any hunger you feel is definitely for the hard stuff, and you won’t eat more than your body needs! Oh, and here’s another fact for you – models consider water to be an essential beauty product. It flushes out toxins, and directly affects the look and feel of your skin. We’re telling you girls – it’s magic stuff!

2. Don't miss breakfast

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so don’t skip it thinking it’ll help shift some pounds. After seven or eight hours of mini-starvation overnight, your metabolism slows down – which means it conserves, rather than burns, fat. Skipping breakfast keeps your body in this ‘starvation’ mode, while eating a good meal gives your metabolism a boost and pushes it into action so that you’re body’s working in its optimum mode and you don’t store unnecessary fat. And another thing – skipping brekkie also causes your blood sugar levels to drop, meaning you’re likely to start craving a snack and may end up munching unhealthy foods. 3.

3. Do exfoliate and moisturize

Exfoliation is the skin's process of shedding dead cells. Everyday or so, our bodies naturally exfoliate – a new layer of cells is formed and pushes old skin cells to the surface where they eventually flake away. By exfoliating (with a body scrub or buffer) once a week you help this natural process along. Finish yourself off with a moisturizer and your skin will feel soft and look flawless, and your body will glow head-to-toe with gorgeousness!
