Big Woo
Definitely an internet-lover and MKP-reader must-have!
The hilarious must-read story of teenage blogger Serafina67

Serafina67 is a 15-year-old with a messy life. Her parents have split up, her far-far-away dad’s marrying a monster, and her mum has arranged for her to see Crazy Pete: Brain Prodder to check if she’s actually gone mad (instead of just a bit emo). She’s not quite sure who her friends are, she’s sort of in love, and then there are exams and gigs and hair dye and weirdo internet friends and being nearly 16, and… just so, so much stuff!

To help get to grips with it all she sets herself a Happiness Deadline, by which she must achieve all the things on her list to get her life in order and put a smile permanently on her face.

Big Woo is written by blogger and self-confessed “big internet geek” Susie Day. The whole book is written like a blog, so we only know what Serafina chooses to tell us, and we only get to know her friends from the conversations they have online.

It’s a hilarious exploration into the struggles of teenage life – both on and offline – and is full of the kind of honesty that’s only possible when you’re shielded by the safety of the computer screen. It’ll make you laugh-out-loud and may even prompt a tear or two. Definitely an internet-lover and MKP-reader must-have! Enjoy!
