I talk to both my parents about sex because that's they way I've been brought up. If I want to know something, about anything, they will be there for me to ask :)

(I was going to add, if he's up for it, but under the circs perhaps I'd better not....)

A bit harsh on the parents maybe? Embarrassment works both ways and it's my experience that it's the young people who'd sooner self-amputate a limb than talk to their parents about sex. In fact I've lost count of the number of times I've read as much here on MKP. I think everybody probably finds it easier to talk about sex to their contemporaries or, failing that, a stranger .....

how old is your child? you sound like a very good mother. =)

live life to the.....FULL!!! ruthhhhh xx

Hmm... lets dive into my memory a bit here,

10yr old me: Uhh mum, we got this letter about family life night
Mum: Oh? Thats a big night where they talk about sex at your school, right?
10yr old me: Yeah
Mum: I dont want you to go
10yr old me: Why?
Mum: because theyre going to tell you that sex is okay, sex is wrong unless youre having a baby, even if youre married, sex is ONLY for reproducing, God, I send you to a Catholic school for a reason, then they go and shove this filth at you, this is purely disgusting *rant rant rant*

And thats about it.
