A survey claims that the days of impoverished students with few possessions are long gone. The average student beginning university will now bring possessions worth more than £6,000, says an annual survey from Endsleigh Insurance. As well as computer equipment this includes sports gear, games consoles, television and music players.

Do you have £6000 worth of possessions for college or uni? Do you ever feel under pressure to be able to buy more stuff?

I feel under pressure to buy a laptop.

But I'll have just my clothes and sentimental memrobelia when I go to Uni and maybe a laptop.

I should have 6 grand in savings hopefully!

I really need to get a laptop for my media course but that's about it! I could never spend six grand for collage...I'd first have to save it (Which will never happen..I'll save aobut £50 thne go on a spending spree in Waterstones....) then I'd have to figure out how on earth I could spend six grand...
