Although people found Dr Petra's Self Harm Surgery helpful, a lot of people got in touch to say that it was upsetting to them and triggered their harming. The nature of the forum made it very hard to moderate: some people wanted to share how they harm which would cause others to feel like harming.

To be fair to everyone, and also so there's always help available we've made this permanent page with self help resources. We're not taking away the chance to discuss self harm, but we are making a lot more useful information available to you.

PS. If you still have concerns or questions regarding self harm, email me at agony@mykindaplace.com

You fear jazz. You fear the lack of rules. The lack of boundaries. Ooh, it's a fence.
