Does any other students pay tax? And is there anything I can do?

Your age and whether youre studying or not dont effect your tax. Its all about how much money you earn.

I think its about £5000 a year before you pay tax but you are eligible for emergency tax

You are paying to much tax. Check your payslip

Whats your tax code? If its something BR or W1 then you are on emergancy tax. You need to ask your employer to get you a P46 for you to fill in and send back to the tax office so they can sort out your correct tax code.

Being a student doesn't matter (unfortunately) - it depends how much you earn.

Do your earn over £3000 (i think?) a year.
If not then you can claim it back.
But if u earn over that then they will tax you.
