The Pitch
A young girl (Lyra) living amongst the scholars of Oxford is longing for adventure, then one day her wishes come true and she becomes embroiled in a world where ice bears, witches and Magisterium reign supreme. Lyra’s uncle embarks on an expedition to the Arctic Circle to investigate some mysterious goings on and after her best friend goes missing she finds herself mixed up in all kinds of strange goings on but vows to find him. When Lyra meets a scientist and traveller, she realises that this could be the best way of rescuing her mate and keeping hold of the coveted Golden Compass….
