What Happens In Vegas (12A)

The Pitch
New Yorkers Joy and Jack couldn’t be less suited. However, after a drunken weekend in Las Vegas they end up married, and with $3 million in winnings at stake, the pair stay together to fight it out for the cash. Unhappy at their predicament, they are forced to live together and continuously try to undermine each other in an attempt to force the other out and forfeit the cash… but things don’t go quite as planned.

The Talent
Totty alert! This is a date movie through and through so the boys get Cameron Diaz and we ladies get the gorgeous Ashton Kutcher. Let’s hope Demi doesn’t see this because Cam and Ash’s on-screen chemistry positively sizzles! Luckily for us there’s plenty of gratuitous shirt-off-action from Ashton who’s never looked hotter

The Verdict
Hmmm, we had such high hopes but we left the cinema feeling short changed. You need more than good looking lead characters to make a decent movie and whilst they might look like they’re having a good time there simply aren’t enough funny moments. Even when the jokes do arrive they’re not even that amusing. We had a sense of déjà vu on more than one occasion (Joy falling off the bar? Zzzzzzz) and don’t even get us started on the cliché-ridden best friends of each lead. Definitely one to wait for on DVD.
