Madonna and Guy Richie’s seven-year marriage will come to an end today, as the couple have been granted a quickie divorce. Neither will be present when the declaration is made because Madonna is currently in Philadelphia continuing her Sticky and Sweet tour, whilst Guy is in Liverpool directing new flick Sherlock Holmes. The pair struck deals on money, property and access to kids although Guy revealed last night, “It dragged on much too long and that had nothing to do with me. But it was never ever about money.” In the settlement, the film mogul will keep is beloved Punchbowl pub in Mayfair, as well as his Wiltshire estate. He will also receive a cash payment of £25million, but he could have asked for up to half of Madge’s £300million fortune. It is reported that the Queen of Pop is unhappy with the way the split has been reported in the press as a source says, “Madonna is livid that people think he hasn’t asked for a penny when he is walking away with millions.” Now the couple’s son Rocco, eight, and adopted son David, three, will split their time between New York and London, whilst Madonna’s 12-year-old daughter Lourdes will remain with her mother full-time.
