Vegetarian and animal loving pop star Leona Lewis has turned down the princely sum of £1million to open the Harrods sale because the store sells fur.The singer – who gave up meat when she was 12 years old – refused to accept the offer from the swanky London department store because she doesn’t want to be associated with anything that promotes the use of fur.

Sex and the City star Kim Cattrall was chosen to open the sale instead.
