Lucky old Johnny Depp looks set to become one of the highest paid actors in movie history if his latest pay cheque is anything to go by – a cool £32million for the fourth Pirates of the Caribbean film! Previously the record payment for a single film was held by Tom Hanks who was paid £29 million for his role in the Da Vinci Code but Johnny now jumps to the top of Hollywood’s rich list, beating Will Smith.
A source said, “It’s a hell of a lot of swag for one movie but there’s only one man who can play Captain Jack Sparrow – and that’s Johnny Depp. Pirates just wouldn’t be the same without him, so they were more than willing to smash the record books to land Depp again.”
However it’s not good news for all the stars of the Pirates films, as the source added, “It’s early stages in the casting process but the chances are that Orlando and Keira won’t be featuring in this one.”
