The stars of the sporting and showbiz worlds gathered in Hollywood this week for the ESPY awards but it was Becks rather than Cristiano Ronaldo who got the biggest cheer from the fans on the red carpet. Inside, the attention continued as the former England star was named Best Major League Soccer Player which prompted Justin Timberlake to give him some stick. Holding his thumb and index finger an inch apart, Justin joked: “Single-handedly you made soccer in America this much more popular. I call it soccer because in America we already have a game dudes play called football.” He then bent down to kiss Becks’ precious foot and said, “That’s what $250million dollars tastes like.” Injured Ronaldo missed out on the award for Best Male International Athlete but he didn’t seem too bothered and was later seen partying with girls who were feeding him food and shots.
