She might have worked with the likes of Kanye West and John Legend but Estelle hasn’t let it go to her head. It’s great to see that she’s stayed true to her own personal style too despite pressure to change her image and for that we salute her. After all – why fix something when it ain’t broken? We reveal how to get Estelle’s cool urban beauty look
Estelle uses a base that matches her skin tone (MAC, Iman and Prescriptives all offer foundation for darker skin), but we’ve selected Revlon’s Colorstay make-up in Mahogany. It is simple to apply and lasts for up to 16 hours leaving you with a natural and flawless finish. Build up your cheek colour using Benefit’s Sheer Cream Blush in shhh!!! It dries lightweight for a beautifully silky finish – just dab as little or as much on your cheeks as you like depending how deep a colour you want to achieve.
Lucky Estelle has very full lashes, but if you’re not so blessed we recommend MAC’s She’s Bad Lash false eyelashes. The upper lash is long and dense for a very glamorous Hollywood finish. You can draw attention to your lids by brushing them with some Prescriptives Colorscope Shimmer Loose Eye Colour across the lid. The loose powder has a glittery sheen to provide you with that all important A-list glow.
An essential make-up tool for every eyeliner lover is Liquifeye by Too Faced. Dip the liquid soaked brush into an eye shadow of your choice and brush across the top lid from corner to corner to achieve Estelle’s highly defined eye. Finish off with 17’s Ultimate Curl Mascara, which uses long and short bristles to gently curl and separate the lashes.
Estelle is currently involved in The Body Shop and MTV campaign ‘Get Lippy’ to raise awareness of HIV/Aids amongst 15-24 year-olds. Funds are being raised through the sale of The Body Shop Limited Edition Guarana Lip Butter to finance HIV and Aids educational projects. Do your bit and head down to The Body Shop to buy this gorgeous new summery lip product (as seen on Estelle)!
